We have great pleasure to invite you to the “National Seminar on Anusastra” organised by P.G. Dept. of Shalyatantra, Govt. Ayurveda College, Tripunithura on 28, 29 and 30th March 2008.

Govt. Ayurveda college , Tripunithura is the second oldest Ayurveda College in Kerala, established by King Rama Varma Raja in 1926. The campus now located at Puthiakavu, 12 km away from Kochi city. The college is presently offering BAMS degree course and PG in Shalyatantra. A 350 bedded hospital inaugurated by His Excellency Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, President of India in 2005 remains as an added attraction to our college. At present college hospital strength is 489beds.

This is the second National Seminar conducted by Shalyatantra Dept. after the introduction of PG Course in the yr. 2006. The dept. is also conducting various in-service and reorientation programmes.

Shalyatantra is a prestigious branch to the scholars of Ayurveda and can offer much to the world other than Surgery. Anusastra karmas are vivid in number and practiced widely all over the country. It is also important to analyse their results in the light of present day technologies and share the experiences. We hope this will be a chance to exchange our outlooks for enriching the knowledge and insight.
